in-transit security · chain of custody · cargo that matters
Quiet build on secure, real-time supply-chain visibility — observability, chain-of-custody, and hardening for goods that can't afford to disappear.
Senior software engineer based in Ann Arbor, MI. Currently Software Development Engineer III at Overhaul — building enterprise-grade supply-chain visibility on cloud-native, real-time systems across AWS and Azure.
I joined FreightVerify as an intern in April 2019, fresh out of Ferris State, and grew with the company over six years through every level — Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and the post-acquisition role I hold today. The platform I helped build now tracks 100M+ shipments, serves 70K monthly active users, and is used by six of the world's largest automotive manufacturers.
I led the implementation of PartView, FreightVerify's aftermarket-parts visibility product, and was a major contributor to the flagship VinView — a real-time VIN tracker that's logged 15M+ logins since launch and is used daily by dealer networks at GM, Ford, Honda, and Hyundai.
I wore a lot of hats: backend services in Python and Java, OEM data integrations, dealer-facing UIs, AWS/Azure infrastructure on Kubernetes, on-call observability with Rollbar, auth and audit pathways, and the cross-team plumbing that ties it all together. The kind of role where the title says one thing and the actual scope is whatever needs to ship — securely, on time, every time.
In August 2025, FreightVerify was acquired by Overhaul, the global leader in in-transit supply-chain risk management — combining the visibility platform I helped build with the leading risk-response network in the world.
Building with AI is the newest chapter — agent runtimes, vector memory, MCP servers, developer tooling. Same instincts as before: ship systems that work in production, for real users, at real scale. That work lives at Modernized AI LLC.
An intellectual-property holding company. It owns the trademarks, codebases, and creative work behind the projects shipped on this site.
It isn't an agency, a consultancy, or a product company. It's a quiet legal container — the place where the work lives so it can be licensed, partnered on, or spun out without friction.
Production-grade AI agent runtime — security-first by design. Capability-gated tool access, RBAC, per-call audit logging, and pluggable secrets management. CLI, REST API, Web UI, and MCP server. Supports Claude, OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, and local LLMs with 100+ tools, vector memory, and 49 plugin integrations.
